Jeff Layman

Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, Layman Publishing Partners LLC

Jeff Layman earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting at the University of Louisville.

He brings over four decades of experience in financial analysis, operations management, and service improvement to Layman Publishing Partners.

Jeff was employed by Humana, Inc., for thirty-seven years, the last seventeen years as Corporate Vice President. At Humana, he played a key role in contract development and administration, and, as leader of the commercial account installation, he led a team of more than 1200 associates, one-third of whom were offshore.

He was also Operations Leader for a Medicaid business line in four states, Executive Leader of Humana’s Medicaid segment in Kentucky, and Process Owner for the claims-payment operations at the company. After his retirement he was a partner in the CPA firm Layman and Mills, a boutique tax preparation and consulting practice specializing in tax planning and preparation as well as estate and business planning.

At Layman Publishing, Jeff guides strategic financial initiatives, drives operational efficiency, and elevates client service standards across the firm’s engagements. His data-driven approach turns complex information into actionable insights that enhance profitability and performance for clients in diverse sectors.
