Jayne Stevens

Jayne joined Layman Publishing Partners, LLC 15 years ago after building a diverse career spanning real estate, community outreach, marketing production, and legal work. As the Director of Content and Licensing, she has become a recognized figure in publishing permissions. Drawing on longstanding industry relationships, Jayne successfully negotiated publisher fee agreements that reduced annual permissions costs by more than 25 percent against budget targets, generating substantial savings year over year. She oversees the clearance of more than 5,000 permissions licenses annually while managing both in-house staff and outsourced vendor teams. As a member of the senior management team, she brings together her interests in language, law, and publishing to help shape the operational and strategic direction of the company.

Jayne holds a B.A. in English from Warren Wilson College and a paralegal certificate from Duke University. She volunteers at local festivals and cultural events and lives with her dog Oliver, a 22-pound super-mutt who enjoys listening to audiobooks.
